The mega Lulu food festival kicked off on Friday with a 14-day carnival in all LuLu stores across the Kingdom featuring promotional prices on a range food items, diverse cuisine and above all live entertainment.
The festival nicknamed “Taste of the World at LuLu” was inaugurated by Prince Mishal bin Mithab bin Sunayan Al-Saud, assistant director of the Consumer Protection Association (CPA) in Riyadh, Friday.
The LuLu food fest in Alkhobar was opened by Abdul Razak Al-Omer, director of Port & Customs in the Eastern Province. Referring to the initiative taken by Lulu Hypermarkets to maintain fair prices and better services, Prince Mishal said he was very happy on learning the way LuLu Group regulates prices and serves its customers. He hoped LuLu Hypermarkets would serve as “models” for other retail giants, medium-size merchants and grocery stores.
LuLu’s food festival will end on May 6, said Shehim Mohammed Unni, LuLu regional director, while speaking on this occasion. Shehim said: “A mega promotion at all LuLu outlets in Riyadh and Alkhobar is the highlight of the festival.” From April 30 to May 3, there will also be a steaks and chops fest, Shehim said, adding that the LuLu Alkhobar will be holding a biryani festival for three days beginning May 1.
A cheese and olive festival within the framework of this mega LuLu festival will run for three days from April 26 to April 28. From April 30 to May 3, there will be a steaks and chops festival, while Lulu stores will organize a biryani bake festivals during the event, said Abdul Basheer, LuLu’s regional director in the Eastern Province.
Customers can approach the customer service department for registering their names to participate in the activities, including the competitions. The LuLu outlet in Murabba in Riyadh will conduct a table decoration competition for women on May 1.
