RIYADH: A cultural event dubbed “Family Fun Day 2017” showcasing a diverse range of cuisine, fashion wears, sports, cosmetics, paintings, photography and henna art was attended by over 4,000 people. FMJ productions and Global Events Consortium (GEC) hosted the event.
“The cultural bonanza attracted people of different nationalities including executives, academicians, artists, performers and hundreds of children,” said Naffay Hussain, GEC president. Hussain said the event was conducted by professional hosts, who entertained the audience of different age groups.
“The show was energized by Omair Shaikh (VI Productions) and Sajin Nishan (Gulf Media), who set the stage on fire,” said Iram Amir, first female Pakistani entrepreneur in the Kingdom. Guests included Iram Amir, Sajida Chaudhry, Ehsan Abbasi, Mujahid Kaimkhani, Faez Chaudhary, Raheel Qureishi, Nada Adnan, Tasadduq Gilani and Waqar Wamiq.
Several vendors also joined the family fun day selling souvenirs, toys, clothes and cosmetics.
The highlight of the event was a raffle draw with winners’ names being announced every hour.
The group that organized the event had Jeffrey John, Adil Sheikh, Salman Anwar, Thankachan Varghese, Charlotte Villones, Chaddy, Faisal Bajwa, Saweera Iftekhar, Saud Sheikh, and Burhan Wahid.
