Movenpick Hotel Al Khobar is lining up several surprises for guests, fun-filled evenings for all and recreational programs for a large number of needy children to mark the 83rd Saudi National Day.
The hotel’s employees are planning for the day with full of excitement. Dressed in their traditional attire, Saudi employees will be waving national flags as they receive guests.
“The hotel has, in fact, pulled out all stops for this year’s national day,” said Markus Marti, general manager of Movenpick Hotel Al-Khobar, while extending greetings on this occasion.
Marti said the hotel had lined up special celebrations to mark the national day. He said Saudi flags will be presented to children during the celebrations.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, we have invited a group of children from a local charity called Prince Sultan Center for Social Welfare to visit our hotel and take lunch at The Blue Restaurant,” said Marti.
The hotel’s exterior will be illuminated with green lights. Also, special Saudi dishes will be served on lunch buffet. Discounted room rates for guests are among the highlights of the hotel’s national day celebrations, said Marti.
“As part of this package, two children below 12 years of age can stay free in their parent’s room,” said Sanjeev Tandon, Movenpick director of sales and marketing, while highlighting the hotel’s excellent facilities such as a spectacular indoor pool, a luxurious spa, health club and inspiring views of the nearby cornice.
Tandon said the theme nights at ‘The Blue Restaurant’ and gourmet food at Maharaja Indian specialty restaurant, blended with famed Movenpick Swiss hospitality, make Movenpick in the Eastern Province the most favorite dining location.
He said the hotel had set up a facility to train young Saudi nationals to advance in hospitality careers.
“This is part of a major initiative launched together by the nine Movenpick hotels operating in the Kingdom,” said Tandon, adding that the Saudi employees are sent to the different Movenpick hotels in the Kingdom for a month-long training.
“Our special focus on developing local Saudi talent for the growing hospitality sector is one of the important component of our business philosophy that distinguishes our hotel in our industry,” he said.
Asked about the special programs like food festivals, he said the hotel will organize a special food promotion ‘HI–5’ at its famous Maharaja Restaurant from October 3 to 11.
The event coincides with the visit of Michelin-Star winner patron Chef Vineet Bhatia, he said.
Chef Vineet has tailored a special five-course menu to be served during this event to commemorate Movenpick Hotel’s five years of successful operations in Al-Khobar.
