Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Anthony Tyler as GM at its Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh. A British National raised in Switzerland, Tyler comes to Saudi Arabia with a wealth of experience gained from international postings within the hospitality industry over the past 20 years.
Certified by the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland, Tyler holds an impressive track record in the hospitality industry. Prior to his posting in Riyadh, his career path has taken him from his home country of Switzerland to Jakarta, followed by Hong Kong, then Dubai and finally Bangkok, before joining the Four Seasons family with his first posting in Kuala Lumpur 13 years ago at The Regent.
His F&B background then took him to Four Seasons Hotel Amman and Four Seasons Resort Maui before his promotion as resort manager at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica. From there, he moved to the role of hotel manager in Chicago before joining Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
Tyler’s high levels of customer service, superior attention to details and intuitive understanding of quality aptly demonstrate the Four Seasons approach to world-class hospitality. “Guests can rest assure that under his leadership exemplary levels of personalized service will be maintained, and no doubt exceeded,” the hotel stated.
Tyler, who recently moved to Riyadh with his wife May and their two children, says: “It’s great to return to the Middle East and I look forward to working in Riyadh, where I will endeavor to ensure that the hotel continues to enhance Four Seasons reputation as a premier luxury destination wherever we operate.”
Tyler replaces Greg Pirkle who moves to Bahrain to lead the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay as GM of the new property, which is expected to open its doors in the last quarter of 2014.
