Two leading companies of the Kingdom — Arabian SPAR Company and Acortec — teamed up together to celebrate their 15th anniversary with a pledge to expand operations within the framework of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
SPAR and Acortec, which have substantial presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and India, organized the anniversary extravaganza, which also marked India’s Republic Day celebrations.
Shibli Siddiqui, SPAR’s president and CEO, said: “SPAR today ranks as a pioneer company in the provision of various types of access solutions, scaffolding products and equipment.”
On the other hand, Acortec’s diverse range of products and services include abrasive blastings and paintings, brick lining and tiling, coating, fireproofing, fluorpolymer lining, insulation, road marking and many more.
The celebrations in the industrial city of Jubail drew about 2,000 people to the event marking the milestone in the presence of guests including Dr. P. A. Ibrahim, co-chairman of Malabar Gold & Diamonds and chairman of PACE Group; Talat Ahmad, vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia; and Dr. Nadeem Tarin, a renowned Indian businessman and philanthropist.
SPAR Chairman Ali Nassir Al-Otaibi; Mohammed Nematullah, member of legislative assembly of Bihar; Abdul Latheef; managing director of Oman-based Badr Al-Shama Group of Hospitals; and Shakil A. Siddiqui, Acortec’s managing director; were also present. Ekramul Haque Siddiqui from India, and IT expert Parvez Akram Siddiqui, who is also a community leader in the UAE, also graced the occasion.
Two stalwart artists, who especially flew from India to Saudi Arabia for the show — Imran Pratapgarhi, a leading Urdu poet, and Jayvijay Sachan, a noted Bollywood mimicry artist — entertained the audience with their performances for about three hours. Arshad Siddiqui, SPAR’s director, also flew to the Kingdom from India to participate in the program.
Jamia’s rector Ahmad, who is also a prominent academician, exhorted his countrymen to work hard and promote education. He expressed happiness on “having a chance to celebrate the Republic Day and the anniversary of the two companies with so many wonderful friends.”
In their respective speeches, Malabar co-chairman Ibrahim and Tarin thanked King Salman for hosting 3.2 million Indian expatriates in Saudi Arabia.
